10th October 07: we were involved in a fisheries survey of a local dam. A local community group ( Friends Of Charlton Brook ) involved in looking after the area requested our presence. Most of the work was undertaken via the Environment Agency but we was asked along just in case any ornamental fish was found in the dam ( as it is illegal to dump ornamental fish in natural watercourses). None was found luckily enough but we enjoyed been a part of the survey and we did end up taking one of the fish to the centre as it got itself stuck in a discarded bottle.

9th January 08: A Mr Barret phoned the centre to say he had 20 fish in his garden pond which due to personal problems had to fill it in. We removed all the fish catergorised them and advertised them on the website and in the local paper and on the 29th february 08 they went to a new home to a local fishkeeper who had just built his pond.
