On the 10th October we was involved in a fisheries survey of a local dam. A local community group ( Friends Of Charlton Brook ) involved in looking after the area requested our presence. Most of the work was undertaken via the Environment Agency but we was asked along just in case any ornamental fish was found in the dam ( as it is illegal to dump ornamental fish in natural watercourses). None was found luckily enough but we had fun in the process and we did end up taking one of the fish to the centre as it got itself stuck in a discarded bottle.
